Terms & Conditions
By downloading or using the app, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app. You’re not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You’re not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to YuleLog Software.
YuleLog Software is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.
The YuleLog app stores and processes personal data that you have provided to us, in order to provide our Service. It’s your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. It could make your phone vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, compromise your phone’s security features and it could mean that the YuleLog app won’t work properly or at all.
The app does use third party services that declare their own Terms and Conditions.

You should be aware that there are certain things that YuleLog Software will not take responsibility for. Certain functions of the app will require the app to have an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi, or provided by your mobile network provider, but YuleLog Software cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, and you don’t have any of your data allowance left.
If you’re using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, you should remember that your terms of the agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while accessing the app, or other third party charges. In using the app, you’re accepting responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the app outside of your home territory (i.e. region or country) without turning off data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you’re using the app, please be aware that we assume that you have received permission from the bill payer for using the app.
Along the same lines, YuleLog Software cannot always take responsibility for the way you use the app i.e. You need to make sure that your device stays charged – if it runs out of battery and you can’t turn it on to avail the Service, YuleLog Software cannot accept responsibility.
With respect to YuleLog Software’s responsibility for your use of the app, when you’re using the app, it’s important to bear in mind that although we endeavour to ensure that it is updated and correct at all times, we do rely on third parties to provide information to us so that we can make it available to you. YuleLog Software accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.
At some point, we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on iOS and Android – the requirements for system (and for any additional systems we decide to extend the availability of the app to) may change, and you’ll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. YuleLog Software does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the iOS or Android version that you have installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you. We distribute our app through the App Store for iOS devices and the Google Play Store for Android devices. We may also wish to stop providing the app, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you. Unless we tell you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must stop using the app, and (if needed) delete it from your device.
Refund Policy
We want to be transparent about our refund policy. Please note that YuleLog for Web is a Software as a Service (SaaS), and so your subscription is payment for the use of the app, not purchasing the app itself. Note that a subscription for YuleLog for Web does not come with a refund guarantee. Once a subscription or purchase is made, it is considered final and non-refundable. We encourage you to thoroughly evaluate our services and ensure they meet your requirements before making a purchase. In exceptional cases, such as technical issues or service interruptions on our end, we may, at our discretion, offer refunds or credits on a case-by-case basis. However, please be aware that this is not a guaranteed practice, and decisions will be made at our sole discretion. Pricing Changes and Variability
Pricing is always subject to change as the costs of maintaining large collections for users increase. If you have a very large collection of ornaments, your pricing may be subject to subscription price increases in order to help offset the costs of indexing and storing your collection data. The user will always be informed if they are subject to price increases.
Date Sharing and Crowd Sourcing
YuleLog encourages users to share accurate information for items in the Hallmark and Department 56 Price Guides. Within the app, users may be prompted to share barcode information, images, box prices, and other information specifically related to items in the aforementioned Price Guides. If it is not already present within the YuleLog database, it may be added to improve the services and features of the application.
Any barcodes, images, box prices, or any other information about Hallmark or Department 56 items shared with YuleLog Software are may be stored in YuleLog Software databases for the benefit of all users to quickly find items and accurate information about these items.
By using our services and sharing this information with YuleLog Software, you agree to the following terms:
Rights to Shared Barcodes, Images, and Data: By sharing barcodes, images, or item-specific data with our company, you understand and agree that you are relinquishing any ownership rights or claims to the shared barcodes, images, and/or data. Our company will have the right to access, use, store, and process the shared barcodes, images, and data for the purposes outlined in our privacy policy and terms of service.
Data Usage: The shared barcodes may be used by our company to improve our services, develop new features, conduct research, and provide personalized experiences.
By continuing to use our services and sharing barcodes with our company, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this User Agreement. If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from sharing barcodes, images, or item information with our company. Options to opt out of sharing this information are available in the Settings menu of the mobile app experience.
Auto-Renewing Subscriptions
Subscription Duration
The YuleLog app offers auto-renewing subscriptions that provide access to premium features and content. Subscriptions are available on an annual basis. The subscription period is defined as follows:
Annual Subscription: The subscription is billed on an annual basis and automatically renews every year unless canceled.
Pricing and Billing
Subscription pricing is subject to change, and users will be informed of any price adjustments. Prices may vary based on the type of subscription, region, and other factors. By subscribing to YuleLog's premium features, you agree to the pricing associated with the selected subscription.
Auto-Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period unless you cancel it. This means that your selected subscription will be automatically extended for the same duration as the initial subscription. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device's settings.
Cancellation and Refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time by disabling the auto-renewal feature in your device settings. Once a subscription period begins, it cannot be canceled or refunded, and you will continue to have access to the premium features until the end of the current billing cycle. YuleLog Software may, at its discretion, offer refunds or credits in exceptional cases, such as service interruptions or technical issues, but this is not a guaranteed practice.
Price Changes and Notification
YuleLog Software reserves the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Users will be informed of any price increases before they take effect. Please ensure that you have a valid payment method on file to avoid service interruptions due to billing issues.
Changes to This Terms and Conditions
We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. we will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
